About Viduje

Viduje began with a question: why is so little made with the mother in mind? Not the mother as a function, but the mother as a person, who is becoming someone new.

Motherhood was the start. But as we came to see, it is only one chapter of a longer story - the story of a family, a home and everyone who shares it. Transformation - parenthood, a new kind of love, a rearranged life - belongs to more than one person. Fathers are here too, partners are here too and the home that holds it all together is here too. So naturally, Viduje has grown to hold that whole story and is becoming a considered collection of things for the body, the home and the people who move through it together. We're slowly adding things for men as well, because a family becoming new doesn't stop at the mother's side of the bed, right?

How we choose

The name Viduje means within in Lithuanian and it beautifully captures both inner life and the spaces we inhabit - the body, the home, the moments that carry us through ordinary days.

Everything here is chosen because it's honest - in its ingredients, its making and its purpose. We believe less is more. We'd rather carry one good body oil than ten that promise everything and deliver noise. The selection is small on purpose; everything here is meant to be lived with and enjoyed.

The people we source from are, simply, good humans. They work with nature rather than against it, keep waste to a minimum and put care for people at the centre of what they do. They stand up for women. They bring beauty and kindness into the world, each in their own way, one step at a time.

We don't see ourselves as a guide. We're more like a friend who's already been through it, one who knows which products can help, what stories are worth reading and that not everything needs to be figured out right away. Think of Viduje as a corner for orientation and comfort, things that could make ordinary days feel a little more like yours.
